The ebb and flow of bodily and perhaps, grotesque processes occurring in nature has been a fascination of mine for my entire life. Curiosities in natural formations, growth and the body provide me with inspiration to create intuitive shapes, color palettes and patterns that blur the line between the subconscious and functionality. In my inquiries, themes of environment, conceptual thought and dreams arise and often collide into a multi-sensory intellect that sparks alternative modes of thinking. Since I can remember, I have been drawn to repetitive movements and tedious processes. Through methods of painting, knotting, weaving and wrapping, I hope to explore and execute a reoccurring dialogue that exists between sculpture, pattern and design.
